Author Guidelines
Journal of Halal Science accepts only electronic submissions. Authors must log in before submitting their articles. Please click here to log in.
Format
- Articles are written in MS Word or RTF
- The manuscript is prepared in an A-4 paper, single-sided, and double-space format. A new paragraph should start five characters from the left margin, using a 12-size Times New Roman font.
- Arabic transliteration uses Library of Congress’ Arabic Romanization table. Click here
- The length of the article is between 5000-7000 words (including text, all tables and figures, notes, references, and appendices intended for publication)
- All pages should be numbered consecutively.
- Each table and figure is provided with a serial number, a title that matches the contents of the table or figure, and the source of the citation.
- In-text citations state the author's last (last) name, year, and page number if deemed necessary. Example:
- One source citation with one author (Hasyim, 2022), if accompanied by pages (Hasyim, 2022: 18)
- One citation source with two authors (Yakin and Christians, 2021)
- One source of citation with more than two authors (Khairani et al., 2022)
- Two sources of citation with the same author (Fischer, 2018, 2011), if the year of publication is the same (Fischer, 2019a, 2019b)
- Citation sources from an institution should mention the abbreviation or acronym concerned (MUI, 1994)
- Article must be written in English, but Article in Bahasa is welcomed for review.

Writing
the order of article should be structured as follows:
- Title, should reflect the raised problem and indicate the method and results
- Author data, Full name (not abbreviated and without academic titles), affiliation, and an email address.
- Abstract, contains a summary of the article or research summary covering the research problem, objectives, methods, results and contribution of research results. Abstracts consist of 150 to 200 words (in English), and followed by keywords arranged alphabetically.
- Introduction, describes the issue and its theoretical framework, highlights a review of the literature as well as explains methods/approach used in discussing the issue.
- Results and Discussion, contains the results that obtained from the research discusses it thoroughly using relevant aforesaid methods.
- Conclusion, should provide significant findings and contribution of the study.
Reference List, contains the sources cited in the article. Only the referenced sources need to be included in the list of references.
