JUCE: Journal of University Community Engagement is committed to promoting the open dissemination of knowledge generated through university-based community engagement as an integral part of the academic and social responsibility of higher education institutions.

Accordingly, this journal implements a full open access policy, under which all published articles are made immediately and permanently available online without financial, legal, or technical barriers. Readers are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full texts of articles, as well as to use them for legitimate scholarly and educational purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original authors and sources.

All articles published in this journal are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution–ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). This license allows others to share, adapt, and build upon the published works for any purpose, provided that proper attribution is given and that any derivative works are distributed under the same license.

Authors retain the copyright of their published works and grant the journal the right of first publication. The application of the CC BY-SA 4.0 license ensures that authors receive appropriate recognition while enabling the broad dissemination and reuse of their work in accordance with the principles of open access.

This journal does not charge any subscription, access, submission, processing, or publication fees. Open access publishing in this journal is fully supported through institutional commitment to academic service and the dissemination of knowledge for the public good.
